City Boundary Maps

The City of Calgary has provided us with a detailed and printable set of maps of the city limits in pdf format.

Calgary South
Calgary North
Calgary Entire 11 x 17

Please note that while Fish Creek Provincial Park is technically not part of Calgary, for the sake of the competition, it IS included.

There are two areas that require special attention; in the NW corner around Bearspaw and in the south along the Bow River, immediately east of Deerfoot Trail. I have attached an image of this later location.

You can also use a GoogleMap of the City boundaries.

Birding Locations

Calgary natural areas and parks are located on this GoogleMap with a brief description of what you might find.

See also maps and descriptions of various natural areas in which you can find birds in Calgary are listed on the Bird Study Group web.

Unusual bird sightings GoogleMap

In order to let other competitors know the location of birds that they may want to find, we have developed an interactive GoogleMap. If you find a good bird, you are asked to inform one of the people listed below who will enter it on the map.
